  • Sustainable Development Instructor.  The Green Ladders / Green Jobs Workforce Development Program. Adult and Continuing Education Program.  LaGuardia Community College of the City University of New York -CUNY.  Queens, NY.  Fall 2016.

    • Taught an adult education course on urban sustainability for the department.

    • Developed lectures and training labs about the use of GIS in the Gen Industry.

    • Created a GIS mobile app for students to conduct neighborhood research around campus.

    • The app provides tools for data collection and neighborhood mapping and it was developed using ESRI ArcGIS Online (AGOL) App Builder.

  • GIS/GPS Education Advisor. The Newark Science High School.  Newark, NJ.

    • Created the GIS/GPS Training labs series to teach high school students how to use these geotechonologies.

    • Students learned about research methods used to collect data out in the field for analysis and map visualization.

  • GIS Coordinator.  The Trust for Public Land (TPL).  Mid-Atlantic Region.  New York, New York.  2003-2004.

    • Responsible for data collection, processing, analysis and presentation.

    • Produced project reference maps to display location of areas targeted for conservation.

    • Produced strategic maps to present land use patterns, features, and sensitive areas.

    • Conducted regional user needs assessment to determine level of GIS data use and production.
    • Modeled attribute and geographic data files into a geodatabase for the Mid-Atlantic region.

    • Contact with users and project managers to produce final maps and other report products.

    • Conducted research to assess user needs of census data among participating US affiliates.

    • Designed questionnaires, conducted interviews, analyzed data, and presented findings.

    • Conducted preliminary analysis of the nationwide organizational structure in support of database design and development.

    • Created and taught Curriculum Development Using GIS and Neighborhood Analysis.

    • Developed lectures, labs, class reader, and other materials for high school teachers to incorporate geotechnologies into classroom activities.

    • Managed local land use studies and marketing analyses for several local projects

    • Directed neighborhood analysis study in the Kingsbridge section of The Bronx, NY.

    • Conducted physical assessment and data gathering to support local improvement programs.

    • Designed database to set up The Fordham Road Business Improvement District. Bronx, NY.

    • Data collection, management, and analysis to compile and produce public maps.

    • Translated public announcements and press releases from English into Spanish
